IDENTIFICATION OF THE TARGET MARKET
The target market for Marks Community Outreach Organization is everyone in the community. From the young, to the middle age, to the old that feel all hope is gone. To effectively serve the target market, MCOO Foundation is divided into three divisions. Each division is organized to focus on a particular part of the population.
THE HEALTH AND WELLNESS DIVISION
MCOO programs targets childhood obesity, teenage pregnancy and care, domestic violence, and many other physical and mental health related issues.
THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING DIVISION
MCOO offers a three month program per individual/family. During that time mentoring counseling and tutoring services will be provided along with a goal chart and activities to strengthen the relationship and improve the person’s confidence and hope. All of MCOO employees receives continuous training throughout the year and participates in monthly meetings to report the person’s/family progress. Ongoing training continues with mentors counselors and tutors on individual case management throughout the year. In addition MCOO will have monthly mentor, counseling, tutoring support meetings.
THE CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES DIVISION
MCOO provides after school tutoring and childcare for children through grade 3. MCOO seeks grants and donations in order to provide programs for youth development, esp. for young males. MCOO provides secular and Christian counseling, case management, food, clothing, and housing to individuals, groups, and families. We also provide food clothing and transportation vouchers as needed. MCOO have a quarterly Family and Friends’ Day, and Community Clean-up Day. The individual/families are matched with a caring adult volunteer who is trained to focus on positive reinforcement, and the achievement of goals, by engaging in one on one meeting.
